Hong Kong Trip Part I

I'm supposed to post this but I save as draft... Pardon me for the lack of timing... I think I'm plain lazy to do anything to the post. Below are the things I started writing after I'm back.

People... I'm back from Hong Kong and I love the weather there compared to Singapore!

The sun is as big as Singapore but its so windy and nice. I had to wear a jacket and still feeling cold. But I guess the weather is getting warm because on our last day, I don't need a jacket though I'm wearing T-shirt and short skirt. Rather unpredicted weather. I remember the time when I got out of the airport in Singapore, I began sweating. Maybe I just have too much fats that's why I feel so warm.

19 April 2007
Wake up at 7.30am despite sleeping at 1am the day before. Dar's dad drove us to the airport and drop us there. Check-in and went for breakfast at Burger King. My croissant breakfast...After that, headed to the gate to board the plane. Cathay Pacific...

Look at the cloud... Isn't it wonderful? It really brightens up my day to Hong Kong!
The Hong Kong Airport. Their languages are chinese and english. Didn't take much pics.
Look at the pic below, Disney family...
You can never find speed limit of 110 in Singapore.

Can you see the sign? Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. I hugz the place because...

its such a cute place. The lamp post is Mickey Mouse Head! Our dinner was at central and we went to those tea restaurant and the people simply speak in cantonese and nothing else. I got a feeling of being in a place full of chinese but I don't belong to Chinese. I really don't know how to describe the feeling. Though I know a little bit of cantonese but I'm really lousy at it. Anyway, the dinner was shrimp and wanton kway teow soup. Yummy... I look so sickly in the pics during my trip because I just recover from flu. I drank ice yuen yang (coffee+tea) everyday throughout my 4 days of stay.

The train system is really nice. The lights will light up to let you know the next stop and if it is a interchage (change to another line), it will light up where it will be heading. The instructions are so damn clear! They will also light up if this is the side the door is opening or opposite side. Isn't that nice? But seriously, the train is expensive compare to Singapore and not to say, Bangkok.

The train is super long, longer than Singapore's MRT. I'm standing in the centre of the whole long train and the pic turn out to be endless road.

The view of the entrance to Temple Street. It really do look like a traditional chinese street and the things there are just like our night market (pasar malam? Is it spelt correctly?)

There are many mahjong dens at Temple Street. It is LEGAL to play in such places and you can hear people 'washing' the tiles. But I really don't have the guts to enter the place and take a pic.

The spicy 鱼蛋 (fish egg) which is actually fishball but slightly of different taste as Singapore. It is not as bouncy but there is this particular stall at Temple Street sells nice fish eggs. I bought at other places and it sucks. I went back again on 3rd night to eat the fish eggs at Temple Street since it is just a few streets away from my hotel.

We headed back to Jordon Road and went to a tea house for a drink. After which we went back hotel to bathe and went out for supper again near our hotel. I had a hot almond milk drink and Dar drank hot yuen yang. We are so kuku because we have to add sugar ourselves if it is a hot drink. Dar ate wanton noodle and the noodle is so yummy. Seriously, I love Hong Kong's wanton because the shrimp or rather big prawns are so damn fresh and big. Their noodle soup base are fantastic.

Hong Kong... I'm coming!!!

In another 12 hrs and 30 mins, I'll be on the plane to Hong Kong.

My first time taking Cathay Pacific... I wonder if the service is good. My past few flights were on SQ and well, the service is not bad but food sucks. This time is a 4 hrs flight and I think my butt will be super painful. Dar told me he went Australia and Japan in the past and the flight is much more longer. Well, I'm wishing and hoping for the dar to Japan for our honeymoon. Haha...

Finally I'm done with my packing and I've yet to have my dinner. Shall get back to my waiting for my darling and before I go, 1 family pic took on my sis ROM...

Holiday will soon be over

Before the spiders start to build their nests on my blog, I shall have a short post to scare them away.

Sometimes, I really don’t understand what is going on. At times, my superior will treat me nasty but sometimes her mood regain to normal and she treat me super nice till my hair stands. When I say my hair stands, it really stands. Yesterday she was on leave and today, she took ½ day because she is not feeling well.

I should be feeling happy over the fact that she went home but she is falling sick! I feel so sad because there is an innocent baby in there. It is not good to fall sick during pregnancy.

2 more days and I will end my journey in MTI. There are people here I will really miss… They are the ones that will talk to me, joke with me and really make my day. My desk is filled with dust again after my first clean when I just joined. Though the height of it will not kill anyone, but it might kill an ant if it happens to collapse on it.

School lecturers are really slow in uploading new semester notes. I wanted to get it ready and it is still not up in mel yet. I’m not saying all the lecturers, but just some of them. It is so annoying to login, hoping to download some notes for printing and… nothing.

Feeling rather sleepy today. Nothing to do, so I’m doing my own things since morning 8.30am.

Can the time pass a little bit faster and end my working day? Maybe after I knock off, it can resume the slow time.

*Counting down to 7 more days for Hong Kong*

School Reopen

Joyce reminded me to update my blog and so, here I am… I think I’m too lazy.

Finally, another 6 more days and I’ll be out of this boring place and I don’t need to write audit reports anymore! I don’t know who on earth created report writing, or rather, who invented words, alphabets.

I think I’m going crazy if I’m staying here for 1 whole year. This is enough and I really mean enough. Never will I work as an auditor in future because I hate to do test check and the stupid audit reports.

I’m looking forward to school reopen and of coz, my Hong Kong trip with Dar on 19th April. This means, we won’t be traveling in June or August anymore this year. This is super sad because our trip this time is only 4 days 3 nights with the last day checking out of hotel before 12pm because we nee to reach the airport by 12pm to check-in. Short trip, but I think its worthwhile after being so tired during this attachment period. Thanks to the workload. I think the fun thing I will remember about here was the time we had the annual event at night safari. Buffet dinner at the function room at zoo and with lucky draw, I got $70 capitaland voucher. Quite lucky because I didn’t know its my number until they started calling out once, calling out twice and I jumped up when they called thrice!

Super embarrassing. But that night was super funny. Maybe me, Elsa and Manpreet are letting our hairs down that night and its so funny when the staff wanted to take photos with us. It seems like we are some big star (S.H.E???) and they wanted our photos so that they can sell the photos to the fans.

I’m getting abit high here. So funny…

Talking about Hong Kong trip, any recommendation of where to go? I don’t want to go Disneyland and Ocean Park unless I have enough time. That’s why Dar and I took the free & easy package instead of the Disneyland package which cost only $50 more than free & easy. I don’t know why it is so cheap but well, we don’t wish to waste time.

I want to know what kind of food which I should try and the places to shop. I know things there are not cheap but I just wanted to have a look, not planning to splurge. Mainly to eat and sightseeing. Till then, tata… I’m going home soon…
