Long weekend

I have a little time to blog now. Finally the year end closing was over and now I can catch some fresh air. But it’s the last week of the month right now. Which means that month end closing will be near and I need to do report again.

My manager will not be around for this whole week because she went Germany for training. I’m getting so sick of the politics in this company because of 1 b***h. I really don’t like her because she is so good at flattering my MD and maybe helping him to clean his backside. I just can’t stand it when she goes calling my MD’s name. Anyway, she has created a lot of problems now and I need to look out for another job.

Anyway, I enjoyed myself over the weekend. I went chalet on Saturday at Pasir Ris Downtown East with Joanna, Joyce, Renand, Joseph and Bernard. Fenella and Diana came but they didn’t stay. Had a lot of nice BBQ food and lots of fun. We must admit that we are old or rather I am old. I get sleepy at 2am and fell asleep. But I didn’t sleep very well because of the others watching TV and laughing all of a sudden. I always got a shock when they laugh. Its so scary.

Dar came to pick me up at about 2.30pm and we sent Joanna home. After that, Dar and I went to get some things and headed to play mahjong. We played 3 rounds and ended up no win and lose. Everybody is so aggressive that day. I won a few 5 tais zi mo and 4 tais. But still lost the money out to the others. So we were just playing to spend the time.

We played till 11pm only because I’m too tired to continue. Yesterday, I went to IMM Osim to change my hot and cool eye mask. I changed to the toothbrush which means that I need to top up the difference. But it doesn’t matter because it is a nice toothbrush (well, for now it is).

I need to go back to work now.

Stressful Working Life

I’m so sad after seeing the new office of my company. The layout for accounts department is really a disappointment. The room for 2 accounts staff to sit in is smaller than an executive secretary. The room for 1 person is actually twice for the room of 2 people. Furthermore, the cupboards for finance side hinders our activities. I thought moving into a bigger place would be better for us? But it just seems like it is to the benefit of some other people.

I begin to wonder if I’m going to stay in this company for long.

There are really lots of changes in this company. Everybody change. Have I changed as well?

Anyway, last month’s expenditure went up because Dar and I have been going out very often. I didn’t manage to save a single cent last month. This is really angry (angry with myself).

I seriously need to save up for my trip to Bangkok in November. Yes, I know. Bangkok again? Its not a fantastic place after being to Taiwan and Hong Kong. But it will just be a relaxing trip to getaway from this stressful office.

We got an accountant last month but she is not performing to my manager’s standard. Maybe we shall not have too high hopes because we will ended up feeling disappointed. Well, she is not young as well. About 40 plus with a son. My manager and I have been working till 10.30pm on Monday, 11.30pm on Tuesday, trying to finish up her work when she actually left home at about 7 plus. No sense of urgency when dateline is given?

We stayed till 10.30pm last night again trying to finish our own work. This time she stayed with us till then. However, this time round, she is not rushing for anything. I really don’t know what to say. I’m tired. Don’t wish to type anymore.
