I'm Officially Mrs Quek

My chinese customary wedding has been over for more than a month!

3 years ago, 12 March 2008, my hubby and I ROM. It was just a very simple ceremony which we did not invite friends and relatives. Only immediate family members from both side.

On 18 March 2011, we held our wedding banquet. I feel relieved after going through all these.

The wedding is quite a headache as there are many unknown issues. (etc. will all your guests arrived, how am I going to seat my guests, will I trip when I march in...)

Luckily it went on quite well. I have many nice sisters, cousins and friends that helped me a lot! Very much appreciated!

Wedding - 18 March 2011

Firstly, I have to say...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

This will be a very good year for me as I'm getting married. Or shall I say, I will be holding my wedding ceremony this year!

On 12 March 2008, I signed on that dotted line and from single, I become married. However, I'm still staying with my mom, so I can still act like a child. But when 18 March 2011 comes, I will be 'officially' someone's wife and I won't be able to wriggle into mommy's arms.

Seriously, I feel old when writing this!

Why didn't the government give us some money for wedding? As an encouragement for us, especially young people that wants to get married early! Maybe they should consider this and start giving me a big red angbao as a start. Woohoo... I'm dreaming...

Wedding preparation is still on the way. We have choosen the wedding invitation card and waiting for it to be printed before collection. I'm still trying to settle on the tables as we will have to increase the tables from 40 to probably 46. The maximum number of tables the ballroom can hold is only 50.

My gown selection is also done. I'm looking forward to my MTM white gown. As it is MTM, I do not know how it will turn out to be like as I only see it on paper. Praying hard that it suits me and it is nice! Tea dress and evening gown have been selected too.

Currently thinking of gate-crashing games with Rachel. We need creative games and no eating if possible. Also, planning the schedule for actual day as it seems to be a bit rush.

I have to plan my honeymoon trip as well. It will be a free and easy trip to Japan. We have booked the tickets and now looking at hotels. We are too lucky to be going during the peak period where hotels will be expensive. Probably is due to their sakura season nearing, so the hotels treat that week that we are going as peak period. *Faint*

I have to say that I'm quite lucky to have a good husband that will care about the wedding much more than I do. He initiated the food tasting, printing of cards and our montage. I'm only doing it when he ask me to call or search etc. *Feels ashamed*

Anyway, it is quite fun to plan my wedding because it is once in a lifetime thingy!

Wedding Photoshoot

Finally, I've finished my wedding photoshoot on 10/09/10.

As I did not have a good sleep the previous night, my eyes were super puffy. Waking up in the middle of the night for no reason. Probably I'm excited over the photoshoot that makes me lose my sleep.

The photoshoot was great, except that photographer. He is really sacarstic and now I think about it, I got quite angry over his comments. Not encouraging at all. Maybe I shall comment this on forum.

Ok. A few photos for viewing. The rest will be uploaded in my facebook.

PhotoShoot Venue

I've changed my layout again. Red seems nice. If not, my blog seems a little dull.

Especially when I'm not posting photos.

My photoshoot date is coming and I'm currently thinking of where and what to do for my nails. Should I do 3-D flowers? Also, what should I bring along for my photoshoot? I saw some of the couples that got balloon, bears etc. So, should I get those as well?

I'm not sure if my diet plus stress is causing me the migraine. I had very bad migraine at times which are quite unbearable. I will have to press my finger on my head to 'relieve' the pain.

Anybody has suggestions for wedding photoshoot? Venue, things to bring etc.

I will really appreciate your feedback. Thank you.

Raising of Night Parking Charges

Recently, there's an issue over the raising of night parking charges from $2 to $4.

This is to solve the issue of the limited carpark lots at some areas. As there are places where season parking could not even get a parking lot at night. Seriously, will this help?

Furthermore, there are places where the parking lots are abundant. Example, the carpark at my house. So why must my friends be paying $4 if they want to come over for mahjong overnight? There should be a better way to solve this carpark issue.

Furtheremore, isn't there red lots that are reserved for season parking? So why should there be an increase in night parking charge? *Scratch Head*

I just do not understand. Probably I need some time to understand the rationale for this move.
