Happy Chinese New Year

This Chinese New Year is really a tiring one for me.

I'm now down with a bad sore throat though I did not eat a lot of new year goodies. Probably is the weather or maybe a bit of prawn crackers that is disturbing me.

I was on leave last Friday to do a bit more spring cleaning. On Saturday, I drove my mom and sis to Jurong West wet market to do some marketing. I drove my brother-in-law's car and was kind of excited. All these years, he had never ever allow me to drive his car until recently because he will be changing to a new car. Thus, he don't give a damn on what I will do to his car.

Anyway, Dar disallowed me to drive at first because he was afraid that the car insurance does not cover third party driver etc. But well, it is covered though I'm not sure how much but I'm right here all well and good.

In the evening, we went for reunion dinner at Boon Lay Restaurant at Jurong East.

After dinner, Dar and I went home and we started washing our car at about 11pm. We also wipe the leather, wax the car. We went back at about 2am and after bathing, we slept like pigs. It was really tiring for me bacause I woke up early to go market and ended up having to sleep late at night. Sunday morning, I went home at about 10am to help out with the cookin for praying. We finished praying at about 4pm and I went over to Dar's place for steamboat dinner after that. After dinner, I went back home. The whole house was quiet with only my mom and I. My eldest sis is no longer staying with us during New Year's eve like in the past. My second sis and her husband was out for movie as usual.

This is the time I realise that we have all grown up and slowly, my mom will be lonely. I'm getting emo here.

Anyway, first and second day of CNY were busy as usual, just that I have to rush both side.

1 round of Mahjong on second day of CNY and I won only $30. I also won about $20 for playing blackjack.

I also took leave on Wednesday to rest but seems like Dar and I were busy as well. I went over to his sis place to bai nian. After that, we went Jurong Point and I bought 1 dress and 2 tops totalling $80 over. There goes my winning from gambling. We also had buffet high tea at zhou zhuang. The food is damn nice! I would want to go for their buffet dinner one day.
