Welcome 2006!

Its a new year and a new start for everyone.

To everyone.... Happy New Year! I know I'm rather late in wishing new year. So sorry about it cos I'm not in Singapore during the New Year. I went Bintan for countdown. The time there actually was late by 1 hr.

Therefore, when you people in Singapore finished counting down and maybe going to sleep, I just started counting down over there.

Its such a nice trip with a lot of fun and laughter. Thanks to my sisie's friends. They are a bunch of jokers. I love to go out with them since young and now, its even much more fun cos' we can joke about anything under the sun.

31st Dec 2005, we took the ferry from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. The ferry left at 2.10pm and we reached Bintan around 4.10pm. But their time was actually 3.10pm.
We took a bus provided in the tour package to Bintan Agro Resort and after checking in, we went to our rooms. The others went in couple group. So only me, my 2nd sisie and Stanley were single, so we shared a room. The king size bed has 2 matress, so we placed one down, so our bed become king square bed.

After the rooms have been settled, we went to book the spa and massage. After booking, we had our dinner. The service there is so slow... I nearly puked blood. The tour guide told us beforehand that the people there actually work slower pace then people in Singapore. Which I totally AGREE!

Dinner ended and me and my sisie went back to bathe. Went for the spa and massage after bathing. I know you must be saying that we are dumb. But we just don't like it when we are so sticky and the person massage for us. We had the traditional massage and were soaked in dracuzzi before massage but the massage was just plainly not as good as Thailand's massage.

Anywayz, after the massage we went back to the main hall for the countdown but i guess everyone is tired or rather the countdown was boring. Its different from Singapore's atmosphere. So we didnt really join in the counting down. We just stood there.

We took the shuttle back to our rooms to put fire works. Its so fun. We actually can put fire works by ourselves which we can't do it in Singapore. But seriously, its so damn dangerous. A lot of times, the fire work just didn't shoot up into the air. So it just 'explode' on the ground.

We got sick and tired of playing with it after some time cos we bought too many of it. We can't bring it back to Singapore so the guys got to finish lighting all of it. I got a nice shot when Stanley lighted one of the fire works.

Finally all the fire works were lighted and off to the sky, we went back to bathe again because we sweat damn lot. And off to sleep after that.

The next day we almost can't wake up. We were too tired and wanna catch more sleep. My sisie woke up 1st, and she woke me up after she finish brushing up. After i finish brushing up, we woke Stanley up.

Went for breakfast after that and had no appetite. We went to beach and played frisby in the clear sea. Well, its near the beach where we can still stand on the ground. But never expect rain to fall... so we got to head back to the resort. We had a bath and had the lunch which we packed back on our way from the beach. We had an extra room cos Stanley shared the room with me and my sisie, so we name the extra room as 'playroom'. So childish rite. But we realli make a mess out of it. So we had our lunch at that playroom. After we finish eating, the sun came out.

So we went to driving range for golf session. The sun was damn big by then. Damn it... it should be big in the morning so that we can enjoy the beach. The golf session was also interesting at first but we got sick and tired of it after that. And we came to a conclusion. The group had no patience. We grew sick and tired of things easily. Finally all the 500 golf balls were out in the green and we headed back to our room. We decided to go swimming so we got change and headed down to the swimming pool.

After swimming, we went back to bathe and after that went out to town for our seafood dinner. As usual, the food was served slow. We were so hungry after much activity and the food served so slow! But anyway, we had crabby, fish (but was refunded cos its still not cook even after it was cook again!), hot-plate tofu, kailan, kangkung, prawn, lemon chicken (but there's chilli). Basically the food almost all are spicy.

We rushed down to the supermarket for some tidbits shopping for the night activity. They bought beer. Carlsberg for goodness sake. I hate beer man... Its so SMELLY. Well, I think i drank the most because I'm so unlucky in the game 'zong ji mi ma'. Someone choose a number and whoever said that number is the loser.

We ended the game after all 6 bottles of beer finished. Headed back to the room wanting to sleep. Fell asleep soon after i closed my eyes.

The last day of the morning, I'm tired and was so lathegic. As usual, my sisie woke up and after she brush up, I woke up and after I brush up, we woke Stanley up. After that, we went to the main hall for the breakfast. We packed our things and after which, we took all the things and left the resort. We went for city tour and lunch and go straight to the jetty after shopping.

We took the ferry at 6.30pm which is 7.30pm Singapore time. Its such a bumpy ride that I thought it hit something. Remind me of Titanic. I was shocked. But luckily I'm back safe and sound. Just that i injured myself during swimming. My fourth toe on my right blue black after hitting on the step. Stupid right? I keep on kicking onto something with my toes when I was there. Luckily only 1 toe was injured.
